Greater Noida,  A woman photo-journalism student has been arrested along with two male accomplices on charges of killing a boxer who she alleged had been blackmailing her, police said on Friday.

Srishti Gupta was arrested on Thursday, four days after boxer Jitendra Mann was found dead in a flat here, Superintendent of Police Sunita Singh said.

New Delhi, WhatApp users in India sent over a record 20 billion messages to exchange greetings on New Year's Eve, the Facebook-owned company said on Thursday.

The messages were sent between 12 a.m. till 11.59 p.m. on December 31.

"New Year's Eve was WhatsApp's biggest messaging day ever, closing out a successful year for the company that included the introduction of several new features," WhatsApp said in a statement.

New Delhi,  An exponential rise in food and fuel prices pushed India's annual rate of inflation based on wholesale prices to 3.93 per cent for November, official data showed on Thursday.

According to data from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the wholesale price index (WPI) accelerated to 3.93 per cent in November from 3.59 per cent during October and 1.82 per cent during November 2016.
