Withdrawing the currency will add to the hardships faced by the vast sections of people-C.P.I

The dramatised announcement of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi about cessation of currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 as legal tender is being projected as a ‘Surgical strike’ on black money. It is also claimed that it would help in unearthing fake currency and funding of terrorism. But in reality it will add to the hardships faced by the vast sections of people, particularly the traders, vendors and small wage earners.
Everybody knows that the huge amount of the black money is outside the country and Prime Minister himself had promised that he would bring back the huge amount of black money deposited in foreign banks (amounting almost to Rs 80 lakh crore) and each bank account holder in the country can get Rs 15 lakh from the unearthed money. This later his supporters termed as a jumla. Now to divert the attention from the real black money holders, the government has brought this scheme in a dramatised manner. The real intention of the government on the issue can be to divert attention from the real problem of black money as it is not ready to share information made available through Panama leak and Swiss banks.
The announcement about withdrawing the notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 as legal tender has also be seen as part of the government’s practice of making dramatised announcements to divert the peoples’ attention from emerging controversies that put the Modi government in embarrassing position and exposes its fascistic trends.
The present move is not going to help resolve the problems of parallel economy based on the black money. On the contrary it will open gates for manipulators of black money to spread and regularise their dirty business.
It will have very adverse effect on the common people. Even vendors of daily necessities will be in trouble and poorest of the poor customers and wage earners will face a lot of difficulties.

The Central Secretariat of the Communist Party of India urges upon the government to take urgent measures to tackle the problems created by its dramatised measures. For unearthing the black money and bringing an end to the parallel economy based on it, it has to take action against the real culprits that it will not take as they had helped it to capture power.
