CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh State Junior Rowing Championship for Men and Women will be held at the Lake Club on November 5 from 7 a.m.
Chandigarh Chandigarh Rowing Association secretary Parmod Kumar Singla said that competitions will be held in Single Sculls (1 x) (Open for Men and Women), Double Sculls (2 x) (Open for Men and Women), Coxless Pairs (2 -) (Open for Men and Women) and Coxless Fours (4 -) (Open for Men).
Entries close with Parmod Kumar Singla or rowing coach Arvind Sehgal on November 4 at 6 p.m.
The selection of the team for the forthcoming 37th Junior National Rowing Championships at Kollam (Kerala) from November 29 to December 4, 2016 will be made on the basis of the performance of the rowers in the Chandigarh State Junior Rowing Championship on November 5, their previous performance and future potential.
All oars boys/ oars girls born on or after 1-1-1999 are eligible for the Juniors Championship.
