Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal along with his entire Cabinet would receive and pay respects to the idol  of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji at Shambhu on its entry in Punjab territory on November 20 Sunday at 9.00 AM.

Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of  Chief Minister’s Office said that the idol of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji would be taken to different places in a religious procession (shobha yatra) and would finally reach at Bhagwan Valmiki Sathal at Sri Ram Tirath Temple, Amritsar on November 25. The route of the religious procession has been planned in such a manner that people from all faiths could pay their obeisance and reverence to the 'Karuna Sagar' Bhagwan Valmiki Ji with religious fervor and enthusiasm.

The spokesperson further said that the religious procession would begin from Shambhu on November 20 (Sunday) and reach Sangrur via Rajpura, Patiala and Bhawanigarh. On November 21, it will start from Sangrur and reach Bathinda via Barnala. This religious procession would re-start from Bathinda and would halt at Ferozepur enroute Bajakhana, Kotkapura and Faridkot on November 22. On the next day i.e., November 23, it would commence from Ferozepur and reach Ludhiana via Talwandi Bhai, Moga and Jagraon. Likewise, the religious procession would again start from Ludhiana on November 24 and reach Jalandhar via Phillaur, Goraya and Phagwara. On November 25, the ‘Shobha Yatra’ will resume from Jalandhar and finally culminate at Bhagwan Valmiki Sathal, Sri Ram Tirath Temple, Amritsar via Kapurthala, Subhanpur, Beas and Jandiala Guru.

The idol of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji would be installed with full religious fervor and rituals at Bhagwan Valmiki Sathal, Sri Ram Tirath Temple, Amritsar on December 1, 2016, during a state level function, the spokesperson added.
