Rana Nazir is a successful career woman in the Water treatment and Specialist Services Industry, working as a Consultant Engineer in Water Treatment and a Customer Relationship Manager working with blue chip corporations, building relationships within the commercial and construction sector working in the Middle East, UK and Europe.
Rana is active within her organization, as well as in the community, she is an ambassador for the Mitie Foundation, co-chair for BAME – Kaleidoscope and a member of the Equality & Diversity Steering Group, mentor for Mosaic, she was the first Asian in her field in the Water Treatment Industry and won NOAW “Aspiring Women in Construction” award. She is also the board member of GULL (Global United Leaders League) in United Kingdom; which focuses on creating global platform for prosperity, peace and taking responsibility in raising a voice for all in terms of specifically for diversity, equality, empowerment.
Thus, many issues can be addressed in the sense starting from global education to collaboration between nations and therefore bringing strength towards emerging relations and alleviating the poverty. Being a person with generous personality, she has done a lot of work for local community of England by helping the poor and those who required the help in terms of any criteria she always put herself at the frontline and helped them in all the possible ways.
Rana has raised awareness through events and countless campaigns, lobbying for Human Rights in both British and European Parliaments, and was awarded the Global Peace award at the House of Commons. Vice-Chair for APWA – All Pakistan Women’s Association. She was awarded with Pure Hearts “Woman Of the Year”, NOAW – “Aspiring Woman in Construction” , Women in the City – Finalist , British Muslim Awards – Noor Anayat Award finalist , INSPAD - Global Peace Award at House Of Commons , Future Face for Industry – Chambers Of Commerce , National Diversity Awards – Finalist for lifetime achievement award , Women in Excellence award – Universal Peace Federation &Women’s League at House of Commons , UPF – Universal Peace Federation Ambassador for Peace.
She has worked with vulnerable women who required support and also worked towards making their lives better and giving them a sense of hope. She asserts that engaging young minds and being able to interact and respect the young as well as the old. Also breaking the cultural barriers, respecting and learning about other cultures and religions. Setting up teenage girls to educate and empower and protect them from the bad influences in society. Bringing women forward also in alignment with men and trying to maintain a balance in society is very critical, men must be also involved in the process, as they are a great source of strength in the empowerment of women.
She has a firm desire to help make a change, improve and contribute to the growth of the community and society as a whole. Comparing the area now to what she grew up in, she can see changes that concern many members of the community: the cuts in spending have started to destroy jobs and services; there’s division amongst the community and there’s a decrease in the types of opportunities for younger generation. She wants to be able to make a difference and help others make a difference. She strongly believes that bridging the gap between people through common ground and putting support mechanisms in place, can promote understand and bring people together towards a genuine desire for collective change and growth.
