Mohali - VR Punjab, the flagship regional lifestyle destination, commemorated International Women’s Day with a two-day event aimed at promoting gender equality and fostering community connections. Held on 8th & 9th March, the event featured insightful workshops and entertaining events.
The highlight of the event was a series of workshops led by distinguished industry leaders, delving into crucial aspects of women's lives. Renowned personality development coach, Ms. Vibha Gurtu, initiated discussions emphasizing personal growth and clarity in relationships. Advocate Chetna Kapil, an expert in civil and criminal law imparted valuable insights into women's rights. Furthermore, Dr. Rhythm Bhalla, a specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology, delivered a comprehensive session on women’s health and hygiene.
Aligned with this year's theme of "Inspire Inclusion, " a thought-provoking panel discussion was led by RJ Manisha from Radio Mirchi. Panelists included Ms. Krishna Agnihotri, chairperson of AC National Public Senior Secondary School; Ms. Drishti Kharbanda, a dedicated social worker; Mx. Dhananjay Chauhan, a transgender and LGBIQ activist; Advocate Chetna Kapil and Dr. Rhythm Bhalla who shared their views on promoting gender equality and representation.
The second day of the event featured a fashion showcase by girls from the Speaking Hands Institute for the Deaf and Don Bosco Navjeevan Society, alongside other models presenting the Spring Summer trends. The fashion show was judged by Ms. Raman Romana, a renowned Punjabi Singer associated with brands like YRF & Saga Music. The day concluded with a live band performance by Anmol Salh of ZeeTV Saregama fame.
