Washington, Nov 3 (IANS) – In the final stretch of the US election season, Republican candidate Donald Trump amplified his campaign efforts, holding three major rallies on Saturday in North Carolina and Virginia. At these events, Trump urged voters to turn out on November 5, emphasizing the importance of every vote in critical battleground states.
Following the rallies, Trump posted a video on social media platform X, writing, "Three beautiful MAGA RALLIES today in Gastonia, North Carolina, followed by Salem, Virginia -- and this evening in Greensboro, North Carolina!" He energized his supporters with a direct message aimed at Vice President Kamala Harris, saying, "Kamala Harris, You’re Fired!"
Trump’s rally in Gastonia focused on issues like job growth, where he criticized the October job report showing only 12, 000 jobs added, the slowest growth since 2020. He linked the economic slowdown to what he referred to as "Kamala's economy, " pledging that a second Trump term would bring job growth and economic revitalization.
At a later event in Salem, Virginia, Trump pledged a "new era of peace and prosperity, " while continuing to criticize Harris as a "liberal Left radical." During the rally, swimmer Lily Mullens joined Trump on stage, expressing gratitude for his support of women’s rights in sports and critiquing current policies around transgender athletes.
Immigration remained a focal point in Trump's speeches. He reiterated plans for mass deportations and "taking back properties, " as well as significant tax cuts, stating, "I will massively cut taxes for workers and small businesses."
Trump's campaign efforts continue Sunday in Kinston, North Carolina, with additional stops planned in battleground states including Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. With 272 electoral college votes required to secure the presidency, Trump is intensifying efforts to lock in support ahead of Election Day.
In his address, Trump also criticized election processes in blue states like California and New York, suggesting that election integrity is compromised, and asserting, "If we had an honest election in California, we would win California."
Trump’s rallies underscore his commitment to key policy changes and campaign promises as he seeks to secure voter turnout in crucial states.
