Mumbai, Nov 12 – Bollywood icon Aamir Khan recently spoke about the true meaning of stardom, emphasizing that the ultimate measure is how many seats a star can fill in theaters. In a video shared widely on social media, Aamir, in conversation with Hollywood Reporter, stressed that while many actors may be beloved, filling cinemas is the real mark of stardom.
"If you are able to fill cinemas, then you are a star, " Aamir explained, underscoring the difference between general popularity and the specific ability to draw audiences for box office success. Reflecting on his role in the 2009 blockbuster 3 Idiots, he credited the film’s success to the entire crew, emphasizing that his role as a star primarily impacts the initial draw—the opening days.
Aamir stated, “A star can be defined by the opening he is able to pull. The film itself is what makes it a hit over time."
