Chandigarh- Haryana Transport Minister Sh. Anil Vij today termed the attack on former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal in front of the Golden Temple as unfortunate and condemnable.
He said the agencies are investigating this incident and only after investigation it will be known as to what was the motive behind the attack.
Sh. Vij said the law and order situation in Punjab has deteriorated and the state government is not paying any attention to this.
On farmers' protest, he said the central government is farmer-friendly. The government has implemented many schemes for the welfare of farmers and is taking all the demands of the farmers seriously.
He said farmers have been agitating for the past 10 months, but the Punjab Government is not taking it seriously.
Sh. Anil Vij congratulated Devendra Fadnavis on being elected Chief Minister in Maharashtra and expressed hope that Maharashtra will progress under the leadership of Fadnavis. The minister said students will not be allowed to face any inconvenience in buses. A detailed report has been sought from the roadways management in this regard. The decision to purchase new buses for students will be taken after analysing the condition of the buses, their fitness, and other details. Instructions have been given to the officials to provide wheelchairs for the disabled at all bus stands.
The minister said the cleanliness system of the bus stands should be proper. If any filth or garbage is found at the bus stands, action will be taken against the officials.
