Chandigarh-Adding yet another feather in the cap of Mai Bhago Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (AFPI) for Girls, SAS Nagar (Mohali), Arshdeep Kaur, an alumni of the institute, has been commissioned as a Flying Officer in the Indian Air Force. The culmination of her training at the Air Force Academy, Dundigal (Hyderabad), on Saturday, was her participation in an impressive passing out parade that was reviewed by Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, PVSM, AVSM.
Flying Officer Arshdeep Kaur, commissioned into the Meteorology Branch of the Indian Air Force, is the daughter of S. Daljinder Pal Singh, a businessman from Khamano in Fatehgarh Sahib District.
Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Mr. Aman Arora congratulated the Flying Officer Arshdeep Kaur on her remarkable feat. He expressed hope that her success will inspire more daughters of Punjab to pursue careers in the Defence Services.
Expressing contentment over regular commissioning of the Institute’s alumni as commissioned officers in the Defence Services, the Director of Mai Bhago AFPI Major General Jasbir Singh Sandhu, AVSM (Retd.) conveyed his best wishes to Flying Officer Arshdeep Kaur for a promising future in the Indian Air Force.
