NEW DELHI – Delhi Akali chief Paramjit Singh Sarna has voiced strong support for Singh Sahib Giani Kuldeep Singh’s pre-dawn address, calling it a vital step toward unity within the Sikh community.

The Panthak leader emphasised that Singh Sahib’s decision to address the Panth during Amrit Vela was a well-thought-out move to promote cohesion and stability in the face of ongoing challenges.

In a statement issued to the press, Sarna appealed to all Sikh organisations, including Nihang Singh groups, Taksals, and other sects, to put past differences aside and unite under the Nishan Sahib.

“At a time when forces are working to divide and weaken the Panth, it is crucial for the Sikh community to come together. Singh Sahib’s message is clear — our strength lies in unity, ” he said.

Sarna also congratulated Singh Sahib Giani Kuldeep Singh, offering ardas before Guru Sahib for Panthic harmony and collective strength.

He expressed hope that Singh Sahib would continue to safeguard Sikh identity, counter external threats, and bring the community together under one banner.

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has also described its recent decision regarding Singh Sahib’s appointment, calling it a move made with foresight.

Singh Sahib’s address, Sarna asserted, has sought to clear doubts and provide clarity on key issues “It is a direct response to forces attempting to create discord within the Sikh community, ” Sarna said.
