CHANDIGARH: Hundreds of Congress workers today staged a massive protest against the terror attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. They condemned Pakistan for sponsoring and instigating terrorism in India. They also burnt an effigy of terrorism outside the Congress Bhawan.

Led by the Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, the party workers and leaders while condemning the killing expressed their deepest condolences and sympathies with the bereaved families.

Speaking on the occasion, Warring said, the terror attack was a direct assault on the unity and integrity of the country. He said, every Indian is ready to go to any extent to safeguard the unity and integrity of the nation.
He pointed out, the Congress party in particular has a great record and history of laying down sacrifices for the country. He said the Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge had already extended his support to the government to deal with the situation and hunt the perpetrators of the crime.

“Today all of us, irrespective of our political affiliations and ideologies stand together to defeat the dastardly designs of the enemy”, he said, while expressing confidence that “we as Indians are united and together and strong and powerful enough to teach our enemies the harshest lessons”.
