Srinagar- The District Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (DGPC) Srinagar has strongly condemned the brutal attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam today. Expressing deep anguish, DGPC Srinagar President Jaspal Singh termed the incident as "shameful and cowardly, " extending full support to the ‘Kashmir Bandh’ called tomorrow in protest against the violence.
In a heartfelt statement, Jaspal Singh said, "We strongly condemn this heinous attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam. Violence has no place in a civilized society, and such acts must be met with the strictest legal action. The Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee Srinagar stands firmly with the people of Kashmir in denouncing this barbaric act."
He added, "At this hour of grief, our deepest sympathies are with the bereaved families. We pray to Waheguru ji to grant them strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss. The entire Sikh community stands in solidarity with those who lost their loved ones in today’s tragic attack."
The DGPC Srinagar urged authorities to swiftly bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure the safety of tourists and locals. The committee also appealed for peace and communal harmony, emphasizing that such acts of terror must not disrupt Kashmir’s tradition of hospitality and brotherhood.
