Tracker Dogs: Used for theft and murder cases, mainly Labrador breeds managed by the State Crime Branch.
Explosive Detection Dogs: Ensure VIP security and detect explosives at high-risk locations, managed by the CID.
Narcotics Detection Dogs: Specialize in drug detection in buildings, vehicles, and open areas, proving crucial in narcotics control.
Recent Achievements: From January to October 2024, the squad helped seize significant narcotics quantities, including:

Training and Deployment: The dogs, primarily Belgian Shepherds, German Shepherds, and Labradors, receive specialized training for crime detection, with each one handled by dedicated personnel. Dogs serve for around 10-11 years before being eligible for adoption, ensuring a supportive transition to retirement.
