Chandigarh- Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab's Senior Spokesperson Neel Garg has urged Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa to stop politicizing the drug issue and instead support Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s ongoing war against drugs. Garg criticized Bajwa’s recent remarks targeting Punjab Police and called on him to contribute constructively to the fight to save Punjab’s youth.

Neel Garg questioned Bajwa’s silence on the latest incident where the Punjab Police arrested a senior officer of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Amritsar with heroin in his possession. He asked, “Should the ED now also be dismantled because of this arrest? Good and bad elements exist everywhere. This isn’t about politics — it’s about our youth’s future.”

Calling out the Congress party's track record, Garg accused Bajwa and his party of shielding drug mafias during their time in power, which led to the destruction of an entire generation. He said, “Your party had years in power but gave shelter to drug mafias and allowed Punjab’s youth to be ravaged by drugs. At least now, join CM Bhagwant Mann’s war on drugs instead of mocking it. This is the time to redeem, not politicize.”

Reiterating AAP’s commitment to eradicating drugs from Punjab, Garg appealed to Bajwa to rise above politics and support the efforts to save the state. “The Mann government has declared an all-out war against drugs. We will not rest until every drug smuggler is brought to justice and Punjab is restored to its former glory as Rangla Punjab. This fight is not about political gains; it is about protecting Punjab's future, ” Garg added.

The AAP government, under CM Bhagwant Mann’s leadership, has been actively cracking down on drug networks across the state. Garg assured that such efforts would continue relentlessly, urging all political leaders to put aside their differences and work collectively to safeguard the future of state’s youth.
