Chandigarh- Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab senior leader and Advisor to Punjab Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department, Deepak Bali, strongly condemned Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa’s recent statement where he claimed that 50 grenades had entered Punjab, out of which 18 had already been used and 32 were still remaining.
Deepak Bali said, “Bajwa ji, you have an opportunity to contribute to Punjab’s safety by helping ensure these grenades are destroyed. However, it is deeply unfortunate that while you can spare hours for media appearances, you claim to have no time for this critical task.”
Bali further added, “Bajwa's sole purpose seems to be gaining media attention. He fail to realize the impact this has on the people of Punjab. If he truly cares about Punjab, he should immediately share any information he has with the police and let them investigate. What is stopping you from doing so?”
Bali said that there should be no room for doubt when it comes to Punjab’s security. He pointed out that these grenades could cause significant harm to lives and property, and only the police can find a solution. He urged Bajwa to cooperate with the police, stating, “The police have summoned you for questioning based on your statement, but instead of cooperating with them, you lawyered up!.”
Bali added that Bajwa should dispel the doubts of the people of Punjab by providing all the information he has to the police. “However, Bajwa’s actions clearly show that he is not concerned about the safety of Punjab and its people; he only cares about staying in the media spotlight, ” Bali said.
The AAP leader concluded by advising Bajwa to change his approach and prioritize the safety of the people of Punjab over politics whenever the state’s security is at risk.
