Kenya  scored their first victory of World Cup Kabaddi.

The matches on the seventh day of Dr BR Ambedkar 6th World Cup Kabaddi 2016, five matches were held in the Khalsa Stadium of historical Rode village of Moga district. In today's matches, India, USA, Canada and England scored victories over their opponents. In women section, Kenya also scored their first victory of World Cup Kabaddi. Men section teams from Kenya and Sweden lost their third consecutive losses of the mega sporting tournament.

A large number of spectators had gathered at village Rode, which had hosted the World Cup Kabaddi matches for the first time. In matches of men section, Canada defeated Sweden by 48-30, England defeated Sierra Leone by 48-30, India defeated Sri Lanka by 49-35, and USA defeated Australia by 48-37. While in women section, Kenya defeated Mexico by 45-11.

Punjab PWD Minister Mr Janmeja Singh Sekhon was the chief guest for today’s matches. MLA’s Maheshinder Singh Nihalsinghwala, Mr Joginderpal Jain, Punjab Health Systems Corporation Chairman Mr Barjinder Singh Brar, former Jathedar Sri Akal Takhat Sahib Bhai Jasbir Singh Rode, Capt Harcharan Singh Rode, SAD District President Tirath Singh Mahla, Moga Mayor Akshit Jain, Deputy Commissioner Kuldeep Singh Vaid, DIG Ranbir Singh Khattra, SSP Snehdeep Sharma, Assistant Director Sports Department Kartar Singh Sehamby, District Sports Officer Sunil Kumar, were also present on the occasion.
