Students of Oakridge International School excelled in international competition organised by Oxford University, UK

Oakridge students excelled in competition organised by Oxford University Press, Oxford University, United Kingdom. It is the largest university press in the world, and the second oldest after Cambridge University Press.Students, Bhai Parkash Singh Brar of Grade 4 in Category 2 and Daania Dadhwal of Grade 8 in Category 3 have both secured the 3rd position at the National Level in the "Oxford Big Read Global Competition "conducted by the ‘Oxford University Press’.
It is an annual celebration of literacy where students read books, complete projects and get an opportunity to earn awards and prizes, from Oxford University Press . Students from across the country took part in the competition. The best twelve entries across all three levels were sent for the national level competition.Winners of 2020-2021 and their entries were selected nationally from participating schools of India, Middle East and Sri Lanka, and then they have become semi-finalists in the global competition in which schools from Turkey, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Pakistan are participating, along with India.
Jury at Oxford, was impressed by Bhai Parkash Singh Brar’s and Daania Dadhwal’s insightful writing. The two students received national certificates and a stack of books from Oxford University and a shield. While praising thestudents principal of the School Ramanjit Ghuman said that it is proud moment for school to outshine at international level and motivated them to work hard for future.
