CM Nayab Singh laid the foundation stone of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Memorial in Kurukshetra

Chandigarh- Haryana Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh, in the gracious presence of former Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal, today laid the foundation stone of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Memorial to be built on 5.39 acres of land at Umri Road, Kurukshetra. The construction of this memorial is slated to be accomplished at an estimated cost of Rs. 25 crore.

During his address at the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of the Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Memorial, former Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal said that in August 2023, Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone of a significant temple dedicated to Guru Ravidas Ji in Madhya Pradesh. Witnessing the magnificence of this endeavor, it sparked the thought of establishing a similar memorial in Haryana to ensure that the upcoming generations could continue to draw inspiration from the teachings of the revered saint. During his tenure as Chief Minister, he had announced the allocation of 5 acres of land in Kurukshetra for the construction of Guru Ravidas Ji's memorial, and today marks the laying of its foundation stone. The construction will be overseen by the Haryana Sehari Vikas Pradhikaran.

In homage to Guru Ravidas, Sh Manohar Lal said that he has implemented numerous welfare schemes during his tenure as Chief Minister, aimed at uplifting the underprivileged, empowering youth, women, and farmers across the state. He expressed confidence in Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh's dedication to furthering these initiatives. Encouraging citizens to contribute to Haryana's progress, he urged support for the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh credited former Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal for the visionary idea of establishing a magnificent memorial for Saint Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj on the land historically associated with Lord Shri Krishna. He remarked that the idea is coming to fruition today. In addition, he expressed his belief that the policies and schemes initiated by Sh Manohar Lal, which are currently benefiting the citizens of Haryana, will eventually extend to every household across the nation.

Quoting the verse of Satguru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, "Aisa chahoon raj main, jahan sab ko milye anna, chhot bade sab saang base raidas rahe prasanna, " Chief Minister Sh Nayab Singh said that Sh. Manohar Lal had performed to realise these words during the past 9 and half years. He acknowledged the significant contributions made by Sh Manohar Lal during his tenure. Under Sh Manohar Lal's leadership, government schemes have reached even the most economically disadvantaged sections of society. Over the last 9 and a half years, these initiatives have resulted in uplifting more than 12 lakh impoverished families from the poverty line. With the support and blessings of the people, the present government is committed to continuing the path of comprehensive development set forth by Sh Manohar Lal, he added.

Sh Nayab Singh said that due to the visionary policies of Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi and former Chief Minister Sh Manohar Lal, Haryana is experiencing a positive and conducive environment today. He expressed confidence that in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the people of Haryana will ensure victory for the BJP, aiming for the lotus to bloom on all 10 Lok Sabha seats in the state.

During his address at the program, Cabinet Minister Dr. Banwari Lal expressed that today marks a day of great joy for the entire state. Describing Sh Manohar Lal as a saintly figure, he lauded the former Chief Minister's innovative use of technology to ensure that the benefits of public welfare schemes reached the deserving individuals right in the comfort of their homes during his tenure.

Rajya Sabha MP Sh Krishan Panwar, MLA Sh Ishwar Singh and Sh Subhash Sudha also addressed the program on this occasion.

Karnal MP Sanjay Bhatia, MLA Laxman Napa, Satyaprakash Jaravata, Leela Ram, MLAs and former Ministers Kamlesh Dhanda and Sandeep Singh, former MP Ashok Tanwar, BJP leader Banto Kataria and a number of former Ministers and MLAs were also present on this occasion.
