Gujarat-Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is in Gujarat on a two-day election tour. On Tuesday, he campaigned for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Umesh Makwana from Bhavnagar Lok Sabha constituency of Gujarat. He held a road show and appealed to the people to make the Aam Aadmi Party win.
During the road show, Mann said that seeing the mood of the people of Gujarat, I feel that today a revolution will begin in Gujarat. Gujarat will write a new story in this election. He said that this is a fight to save the country's constitution and democracy. We have to win it at all costs.
During his speech, Bhagwant Mann got very emotional while narrating his meeting with AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, who is in jail. He said that Arvind Kejriwal is being treated like a terrorist in the jail. We were made to sit on the other side of the glass wall and talked to him through the phone.
Mann said that our tears will not go in vain. The people of the country will exact the price from the BJP for all the atrocities. 'Zulm ka jawab Vote se', people will defeat the BJP and throw them out of power. He appealed to the people that everyone should become Kejriwal to answer the dictatorship of the BJP.
In support of Kejriwal, Mann, along with hundreds of the people, raised slogans 'Jail ke taale tootenge, Kejriwal chhutenge'. He said that I am a true soldier of Arvind Kejriwal. I go wherever he sends me. Today my duty is here.
He said that there is only one leader in the country who can challenge BJP and Narendra Modi and that is Arvind Kejriwal. BJP is afraid of Arvind Kejriwal. That is why BJP conspired and got Kejriwal arrested by implicating him in a false case so that he cannot campaign in the Lok Sabha elections.
He said that Arvind Kejriwal's mistake was that he built mohalla clinics for the treatment of the poor and improved the condition of government hospitals. He built good government schools in Delhi for the education of the children of the poor. He made electricity and water free so that the common people can get some financial relief.
He said that Kejriwal is not just a person, he is an idea. You can put Kejriwal's body in jail but how will you put his thinking in jail. What will you do with the thousands of Arvind Kejriwals born in the country? Which jail will you put them in?
He said that Kejriwal started the politics of work instead of the politics of name for the first time in the country. This time also people will vote for the politics of work and under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, the political filth of entire India will be cleaned with a 'jharoo'.
