32 students of Shemrok School selected in NDA

Army is facing a severe shortage of officers and also there is very poor rate of induction of Punjabi youngsters in the armed forces. At this time it is a proud moment for Shemrock Sen. Sec. School, Sec-69, Mohali & Maha Raja Ranjit Singh Academy that 32 students of  this joint venrture have selected in NDA. These students  will join the National Defense Academy for their further training.

Director Education S K Sharma While honouring the students  said that 32 Candidates are selected for NDA . According to him Indian Army has enjoyed the reputation of being one of the finest forces in the world. Career in the armed forces, therefore, holds the promise of bringing honour, glory, social reputation, and a privileged lifestyle. Nevertheless, the defense establishment is nowadays competing with other more lucrative career options available to the country's youngsters but Shemrock & Academy always encourage the students to join army to serve the nation.

Major Gen. Baljit Singh Grewal(Retd.), Director,   Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute for boys of Punjab while congratulating the students said that this institute in Punjab is set up , to specially train boys of Punjab to join defense forces by observing that the number of individuals, joining defense forces from Punjab had been going down year by year and it pride for us 32 of our students mark the success. Till now in 4 years we have given 61 officers to Indian Army with this joint venture.

According to the selected students selection was not an easy process. They were grilled and their selection is only result of following their mentors and teachers and became lucky charms.
