Punjab cm releases ips officer's new movie against drug abuse

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday released a movie titled ‘Jago Tab Savera’, scripted and directed by a senior IPS officer to spread awareness against drug abuse.

Made by Dr Jitendra Jain, ADGP - SOG Training, the movie captures the pain and misery resulting from drug abuse by tracing the adverse effects of addiction on the family life, health and financial position of the drug victims. It sends out a strong message against drug abuse through an emotional song written by Dr. Jain.

Lauding the effort of the IPS officer, the Chief Minister said such endeavours could contribute significantly to eliminating the drug menace from the state. He called for maximising the use of the social media to spread awareness on the critical subject of drug abuse, which was killing youth and destroying Punjab’s future.

Dr Jain has so far made more than 10 movies against drug abuse and has penned a couple of books also to spread the message against drugs . His recent animated series of movies include Kick, Rave, Don’t Get High to Die , Shun the Fun and Chill May Kill. He earlier made Zindagi ki Talash (2006), Idea (2008), Dreams unlimited (2015) and Wake up (2017) - all against drug abuse.
